The normal reply box you see at the bottom of your screen is actually the "Quick Reply" box.
Instead, you access the full reply options by clicking on the top right corner that says "Reply".
There are a set of options you can use, most important of which for our purposes is the set of icons on the right side.
Look for the one that looks like an image thumbnail
If you are pasting an image you found on the internet, just paste the image URL and press enter.
If you are pasting an image from your computer:
First, to get a URL for an image in your computer go to tinypic.com/ and upload the image.
Then copy and past the BOTTOM MOST URL that it gives you, and use that URL in the same manner as I mentioned above.

Pretty much the same applies for posting/linking videos, except you should press this option
for videos, rather than the image option .
